Another Great Year
Thursday, October 30, 2003

Congratulation to everyone for another great year. In case you have not heard, Meadow Hills Men’s Club is once again the State Champion. The team of Brian Richmeier, our new medal play champion, Dean Clapp, our new match play champion, and Jon Lindstrom, won the Colorado State Team Championship at Inverness Golf Club, on October 4th and 5th. Great play by all three earned a solid victory for Meadow Hills with Jon Linstrom winning the tournament medal with rounds of 71 and 69.

Way to go guys. You make us proud.

Keep checking the website. We should have the 2004 application and schedule available right here by Dec 31st.

Have great winter. I’ll see you all in the spring.

Ric

President’s Cup
Monday, July 07, 2003

WOW!!!

Did you see what happened at the President’s Cup. Both Jon Lindstrom and Dean Clapp shot 62! You know, like in 8 under par 62. And even better, they were on the same team. The third member, Michael Davis, shot 69, with the fourth player, Jason Benn adding a nice little net 70 to the mix.

Guess who won?Just for fun I determined Jon and Dean’s (sounds like a singing group) best ball score. "56" Like in 14 under frickin’ par 56. If they do that in the Two Man Best Ball, there will be drug testing.

Great playing guys and congratulation on the victory.

On to other matters.

I am constantly being asked why Men’s Club events take so long. With a relatively small field and an open golf course, most groups finished on Sunday in about 5 hours. Most disappointing was the play of the first group. With no one in front of them, they played in 4 hours and 40 minutes. If the first group sets such a slow pace, all is lost. I really believe that it is up to everyone to make sure that they are aware of the pace of play. Be ready when it is your time to play. And make sure that you keep up with the group in front of you.

See you at the Two Man Best Ball.

Ric

Great Showing by the Boys
Monday, June 30, 2003

After that tremendous win by Michael Davis in the CGA State Two Man Championship on June 4th, the men of Meadow Hills followed it up with an awesome display of golf at the CGA Publinks Championship over the last three days at Fox Hollow.

The last day’s best round of 65 moved Andy Dannewitz up the leader board to a solid 5th place finish. Not far behind in 8th and 9th were Brian Richmeier and Jon Lindstrom.

Also having a great tournament were Dean Clapp, Scott Whalen, and Kevin Walden. "Way to go Guys" You did us proud.

Coming up this Sunday is the four man President’s Cup. Make sure you sign-up by 6 PM Tuesday, so you are not left out.

See you Sunday.

Ric

CON-GRAT-U-LA-TIONS **JACK BARKI**

YOU DA MAN

Jack made the ultimate shot in golf. A Hole-in-One on #13. Everyone present had one on Jack. But the real winners were Jack’s partners. That perfect shot won the only skin on Saturday. Can you say "Thank you Jack".

The results have been posted. It appeared that a good time was had by all, especially Jack.

See you in a few weeks.
